Dynamic tree performance & optimisation research

In May 2023 Mobile Forestry helped with the transplantation and installation of 35 different species of trees from the Urban Climate Arboreta at the Technical University Delft to Rotterdam Handelsplein; With the support of the Resilient Delta Kick-start Grant the Mobile Forestry Laboratory was able to install 35 moisture devices to research the water use and growth performance of all the trees.  

In order to water the 35 tree species Tom build a water reservoir station to support the research activities; Throughout the summer of 2024 the trees will be closely examined by the Mobile Forestry Research & Design Studio to better understand the different water use, growth performance and maintenance needs of the trees.
